You know those times when you were so excited to launch your new offer and bring your ideas finally to life? You were so thrilled that everything is finally coming together. You launched and announced your offer, but for some reason, you heard no inquiry and saw no sales coming in.

The frustrating and disappointing feelings you felt as you kept checking your inbox hoping to see another notification of sales come it. But, nothing…

I get it because I went through it myself 4 years ago. Many business owners are also suffering from the stress of not meeting their sales goals and feeling let down because they are not meeting their own expectations.

So, what did I do differently now that we are, not only meeting, but exceeding our sales goals consistently quarter after quarter? I’m sharing 3 things that we changed and implemented. With these 3 pro tips, you can turn things around and boost your sales goals this year!

Tip #1 Have a pre-launch plan

For everything launch and announcement, including a rebrand, a new website, new collaboration, an event, a new offer, a giveaway, a challenge, have a pre-launch plan in place. The biggest mistake business owners make is that they spend all their time creating the thing they are launching, and spend zero time in letting people know about it. Create a communication and marketing plan before you launch across all the tactics you are using, such as social media, newsletter, podcast, etc., and build up the awareness and excitement before you bring this launch to the world.

Tip #2 Longer pre-launch period

The longer the pre-launch period, the bigger the impact of your launch. When you give yourself more time to tell people about what you’re launching and invite them to join you, the more excitement you build up. This allows you to have a bigger audience who is already excited about your launch when you make the announcement, which leads to bigger success and more sales.

Tip #3 Add more value upfront

The more value you add to them before selling your launch, the more trust you build. Many people are strangers who don’t know much about your business. By bringing them value and quick solutions or tips before they buy from you, you are speeding up the rate in which trust is built. For example, instead of selling after a free downloadable with tips or one webinar, experiment with a multi-day training or information session.

These are the 3 needle-moving changes we experimented and implemented throughout the multiple launches we did across several years, and they’ve helped us exceed our launch expectations, including our last launch (1 month before this post was written), which turned out to be more than 2X our initial sales goal!
