How to Effectively Protect, Grow & Evolve Your Business Through Coronavirus
With the spread of COVID-19 and situation changing quickly, many of us are staying in and practicing social distancing for the safety of ourselves and for other people.
For small businesses? Many are taking a hit.
So - we want to do our part to help you, our go-getter women and business owners, during this crucial time.
We've decided to take the next step to help you keep the marketing momentum going and growing during this season. We have been sharing 3 WEEKS worth of FREE marketing and branding tips and actionable steps over @oleaandfig, so you can come out of this stronger and better!
Besides those daily tips we are sharing, here are a few major changes to consider for your overall business and long term strategy, to help you build a resilient and lasting brand.
Shift Your Sales Strategy Online
Now that people are staying at home and away from the crowd, it doesn’t mean that they no longer need your services or products. The needs still remain. So how can you deliver your offer in creative ways? Or is there any other offer you could create with what you do already that would better meet your people’s needs now that they are staying in?
Invest time in finding new ways to deliver your offer virtually or on-demand to people.
Recharging Your Online Marketing Strategy
Because people are less likely to engage in large in-person events and experiences, many people are spending lots of time online, which creates more opportunity for growth with online marketing. It’s time to focus on online marketing if you haven’t already! Start by thinking about where your people are hanging out online? Where do they go to find offers like yours or information related to what you do? Do you have a website and a strong brand presence online that convert people into customers?
Remember, you don’t need to be everywhere online, but you should meet where your people are.
Resetting Your Overall Brand Strategy
Now it’s the time to be transparent. Keep the communication open with your team, customers, and audience. Ask them what they need, let them know what efforts you are taking in response during this critical time, and ask for their help and feedback, and see how you should change people’s overall brand experience with you.
This is also a great time to make some breathing room to do some resetting and refreshing of your overall brand strategy. Are you attracting your target audience? If not, is it because you need to reset your focus? Or maybe you need to revise your brand message? How about your pricing and marketing, are these decisions aligned with the brand you want to create? Or maybe it’s a good time to revamp your brand personality, the look and voice? Or deciding if you should build a personal or business brand?
If your target audience isn’t coming to you, this season is a great time to rethink your positioning and reset your overall brand strategy so you can build a strong brand before jumping back into marketing and selling your offers.
During a time like this with constant changes, it’s very important that the changes you make in your business align with your vision and values. Beware to not fall into herd behaviors, and don’t hold back from getting the support you need!
It’s the season for us to show compassion to one another.
