If you’re running a business, you probably have a pretty complicated relationship with social media, am I right? On one hand, you enjoy that your business and what you do are receiving the loves and attention online. On the other hand, you’re real tired of the pressure of having to put our great content. How about email marketing, blogging, videos…

Sometimes you wonder if you’re even doing content marketing right? What else are you missing in the game? What are the types of content marketing you should consider in your business?

We have a couple favorite types of content marketing that we adopted to create our marketing funnel. These content marketing tactics not only generate high quality leads, but also to grow our community of women entrepreneurs, to nurture meaningful relationships and build trust and loyalty!

Here’s a rundown on the high performing types of content marketing that we tried and are using them over and over again!

1. Blogging

This is how and where you serve more in-depth information that the people you serve want to learn. By sharing your expertise and valuable knowledge that your people have been looking for, blogging consistently helps establish trust and familiarity.

2. Social Media Posts

This is how you engage. It’s a two-way street. Invite people to join in on your journey, and welcome responses, feedback, and interaction. Social media platforms are where you can cultivate and grow the tribe you’re serving. This is where you can cultivate new relationships and rekindle old friendships. This platform is where we gain the majority of our leads and clients who are in another country. Pretty neat, right?

3. Email Marketing

This is where you get to speak directly to each person who gave you permission to email them, and this permission marketing is so wildly undervalued. Email marketing is the tool for you to create an irreplaceable experience by writing content that is relevant and personal to our people over time. When people subscribe to your emails, they’ve decided to join you on your journey and follow along. It’s your responsibility to keep your promise. Instead of sending only promotions and selling, and make their time and attention worthwhile.

4. Podcasts

If the people you serve like getting their information via audio, podcasts might be a good tactic for you. There is no need to get complicated equipment, find a way that works for you to start recording and deliver it to them.

5. Live Webinars & Videos

These are great ways to make your people feel that you are present. We use live streaming often to provide training to our women entrepreneurs. These also allow you to get immediate feedback and questions, providing people an interactive experience. For product businesses, these are also excellent method to showcase how their products can be used.

6. Quizzes

Quizzes are great especially if people can complete it and get the answers they’ve been looking for in only a couple minutes. These are interactive experiences that can help people find out where they are now and what they need next to get to the results they want. Our favorite platform for creating quizzes is Interact.

It’s also a wonderful way for product businesses to find our what type of product or modification to launch next. When done correctly, this tactic helps your audience feel heard and understood. Our favorite tool to create surveys is SurveyMonkey.

8. Ebooks

Free Ebooks are downloadable PDF files that are great to drive traffic and grow your audience base. Ebooks can also be paid digital products. The content of your ebooks can often be a more in-depth or extended version of your blog posts. For product businesses, these ebooks may be complimentary how-to guides to enhance people's experience with your products.

9. Checklists

Downloadable checklists that helps people to be more productive and effective are an excellent type of content marketing and can generate lots of interest. People are always looking for ways to gain more time, which is the most valuable thing we got and is also priceless.
